No Body's Business

We kept our word and met at 8:00 AM to watch the inspirational documentary No Body's Business. It was a very good doc. that I would suggest everyone see. After we finished watching it we discussed more about our own project and how we could relate this doc. and others we have seen to creating our own style and focus. We each shared what we thought and of the film and then I ask for everyone to brainstorm and come up with ideas of how to approach our documentary. I also shared some things I would like for us to consider, such as how to build a story about mentoring around our case study Dr. B. Some ideas I have even had are to talk about how global the issue is by using examples of PSA's on TV that use celebs speaking on mentoring. I even have seen a boom in books on the subject. We covered quiet a bit within our two hour meeting.

Speaking of mentoring and Dr. B, I went to the school again this early morn and Thad Dr. B's assistant asked to meet with me next week over breakfast after the school meets. I will be sitting down with him and another member of the group who's son is interested in becoming a film maker and is interested in what I am doing. They want to regularly record the school (non documentary related, but can use footage). I don't know all the details yet, but I believe the one gentleman's son will do that and I am to basically help him or maybe even be a mentor, who knows, I will keep you updated. It is really awesome to see young people get interested in film and even in their own faith. I hope I can be a good influence and all.

By the way Alan Berliner kinda resembles Chuck Norris. Which would go along with how he mentioned we are like 50th cousins away from everyone in the world (six degree-ish). Just a thought.

Chuck Norris and Alan Berliner both rock!

I also think your ideas for the PSAs and looking at the boom in books is a great place to start.

Awesome work Hallelujah Avenue Team!
