The right man for the job

I guess I personally fit into this project as the creator and director. I have been a part of Dr. B's mentoring school for about two years. Before I met Dr. B I had never had a mentor and this was a new thing to me. I thought it was only for kids, that a man can't have nor needs a mentor. So I guess Dr. B just influenced me so much by believing in me and just basically being himself and making himself available that I had or wanted to let others know about him and the power and need for mentoring for all ages. I have recently noticed the increase in the resources and attention that mentoring has received and even several churches looking into starting mentoring ministries within their churches. So with all this going on and the PSA's during January (mentoring month) I thought it was important to film this doc. And I guess I am really passionate about this topic and this man's legacy and no one else has done this (a doc on Dr. B nor on Mentoring) yet and I feel like I am the one who can and wants to do this doc. Now there is a growing number of people who are interested in this doc and want to see it completed. It can be a little intimidating and it may not be a big deal to most, but regardless this is a very important story that needs to be told and I am telling it with the help of two of the best team mates ever. They are my crew, and my friends. They help keep me focused and help get the job done.

And don't forget your deep passion for your faith. I believe it will play an amazing role in how you approach your topic and execute the production and post production of your film. You have chosen a topic that cuts right to the heart of your beliefs. For artists of any breed that sort of passion should be bottled and sold.
